BWF Ranking Update - Anthony Ginting Approaches Jonatan Christie After Being Runner-up for BWF World Tour Finals 2019
BOLASPORT.COM - World Badminton Federation (BWF) released the latest ranking update after the BWF World Tour Finals 2019.
In the latest list of world rankings per Tuesday (17/12/2019), Indonesian men's singles badminton player, Anthony Sinisuka Ginting, closed his achievements at the end of 2019 by ranking seventh in the world.
Previously, Anthony Sinisuka Ginting was ranked eighth in the world. This ranking increase was obtained thanks to being runner-up to the 2019 BWF World Tour Finals.
Anthony Sinisuka Ginting lost to Kento Momota (Japan), 21-17, 17-21, 14-21 in the final.
Anthony is now approaching Jonatan Christie who is currently ranked sixth in the world.
Jonatan's trip to the BWF World Tour Finals came to a halt during the group stage.
Kento Momota (Japan) is still strong at the top with a collection of 111,918 points after previously being a champion at the 2019 BWF World Tour Finals.
The second and third place in the world men's singles sector are respectively Chou Tien Chen (Taiwan) and Chen Long (China).
Chen is now ranked third in the world after removing Anders Antonsen (Denmark).
Antonsen is ranked fourth in the world with 77,600 points, or one strip above compatriot Viktor Axelsen.
The Shi Yuqi again downgraded to eighth in the world.
