Magelang - The location around the Blongkeng River was once a dirty place. Now there is Taman Seribu Cinta, which is instagramable and visited by tourists.


The Blongkeng River Stream divides the boundary between Salam District and Muntilan District, Magelang Regency, Central Java. For visitors who cross from the direction of Jogja, after crossing the Blongkeng Bridge, they will see the words 'Welcome to Muntilan Adipura' which is on the west side of the river.

Head of the Department of Landscaping of the Department of Environment of Magelang Regency, Joni Budi Hermanto, said that the two places on both the west and east sides were previously dirty. Previously, the location of Taman Seribu Cinta was a dirty place that was easily found by various types of good garbage, household waste to broken glass. Then, in 2017 a park will be built starting from the west side.

"We kept thinking we wanted to find land to make a park. We went around until we finally found the location. Then the west side of the park began, we made the first park on the west side, which reads Welcome to Muntilan Adipura with the budget from the APBD," said Joni Budi Hermanto when contacted.

As for the naming, he said, was inspired by giving the name Taman Seribu Cinta. In the sense of sharing thousands of love for others so that they love cleanliness, love the environment, the river and others.

"We want to share thousands of love for others to love the cleanliness of the environment, riverbanks and others. We created a garden in the form of love," he said of the reasons behind the name of the Thousand Love Park.

To keep Taman Seribu Cinta clean, every day there are a number of people from morning to evening. Lepas Daily Worker, Harsono, said, for the west side of the park that read Welcome To Muntilan Adipura was built around 2017. A traveler who wants to come to Taman Seribu Cinta by riding a motorcycle and car does not need to bother thinking about a day care vehicle. At this location, parking spaces are very accommodating. For motorbike parking rates Rp 3,000 and cars Rp 5,000, while entering the park is free. If you go down at the location of the river, there is a selfie spot with the words love, then going to the ship-shaped building there is a souvenir replacement for Rp 2,500.

"Plants in the form of purslane flowers purple, white, yellow, red, then there is a selfie spot location of the love padlock and tree house. One of the visitors of Taman Seribu Cinta, a resident of Sapuran, Wonosobo, Mamik Pujiono admitted that he stopped by while resting in this park after returning from Yogyakarta. He himself knows because it often passes, then yesterday wanted to take a break all to take pictures.

"Good management and arrangement for the park. Very rarely on the edge of a large river made like this. Entry free, river water is clean from rubbish, "Mamik said.

The same thing was conveyed by another visitor from Magelang, Aris Azhar. Coming with his son, he admitted that the arrangement of Taman Seribu Cinta was already quite good.

"The arrangement is pretty good, it has been arranged. Most rivers are not maintained, this is like the revitalization of the first river whose water is clean, friendly for children," he said.
