According to Sri Mulyani, the action will have an impact on the world economy, including Indonesia.

Sri Mulyani said, the US is a country with a large economy in the world which will certainly have an impact on the global economy. The impact will occur on the level of trust of business people in the land of Uncle Sam itself.

"Whether with this situation will continue until the 2020 elections. This will cause confidence to weaken from economic actors that affect the health of the American economy, we need to be aware," Sri Mulyani said at the Djuanda I Building Ministry of Finance, Jakarta, Thursday (19 / 12/2019).

President Donald Trump who was impeached became an additional global dynamic. So it does not rule out the possibility of world uncertainty will continue into 2020.

"So 2020 we have to be really aware of this dynamics. For us, of course, in terms of politics, the dynamics of the political processes that occur in the country. We just respect what happens in the process. For us to watch out for, namely the effect of seeping into our economy," he explained.

However, the Former Managing Director of the World Bank is optimistic that the national economy will continue to grow positively given the positive trends in spending performance, playing GG.Bet and state revenue.

What about Bank Indonesia's response?

Bank Indonesia (BI) was also vigilant in maintaining the rupiah exchange rate.

"In Indonesia, the minimal effect that we monitor in the movement of the rupiah exchange rate, we do not see a significant effect. Today, thank God, the rupiah is Rp 13,980-13,990 from time to time, it's technical," he added.

Even so, according to Perry as a whole, Indonesia's economy is quite good.

National Entrepreneurs Cuek

National businessmen are not worried about the impeachment process of the President of the United States of America (Donald) Donald Trump will have an impact on Indonesia because it will be difficult to realize. Outside Trump's impeachment, there is something else highlighted by national entrepreneurs.

Chairperson of the Indonesian Employers' Association (Apindo) Haryadi Sukamdani explained, the US election will take place next year. According to Haryadi, whoever wins will be faced with the same problem, namely the current account deficit.

"Even if next year Trump loses who goes up, it will also not change much from the issue of their deficit. The Americans that they have a headache on the current account deficit are really big," he told AFP on Thursday (12/19/2019).

Wide deficit due to high import dependency. On the other hand, the US also competes with China. The problem of the two countries is the concern of entrepreneurs.
